Why Christian Women Struggle With Anxiety — And What the Bible Actually Says About It
The Real Issue Is Certainty vs. Trust
Here is one of the most important distinctions I make in counseling, and I want you to sit with it because I think it reframes everything. The opposite of anxiety is not the removal of uncertainty. It is trust. Those are not the same thing, and confusing them is one of the primary reasons anxious Christians stay stuck.
We want certainty.
Why God Feels Distant When Life Gets Hard, and What Psalm 139 Says About That
There is nowhere anxiety can take you where God is not already present. There is no depth of grief He has not already entered. There is no question too raw, no failure too significant, no season too dark. He searched you before you had the language to describe yourself. He knew what you would face before you were born. And He is still exactly where Psalm 139 says He is.
Your hope cannot be anchored in how you feel on a given morning. Feelings shift. Circumstances change overnight. But the God described in this psalm does not move. He is searching you. He is leading you. He is holding you. He placed His hand on you and called it too wonderful for words.
Where Is God When You’re Afraid?
Fear is not the absence of faith—it’s the opportunity to apply it. Every time fear comes, you have the chance to remember who God is: your refuge, your protector, your peace.
