When your identity is finally anchored in Christ rather than in your performance, the whole posture of your life begins to shift. You obey because you are loved rather than to become lovable. You serve because you are secure rather than to prove your worth. You can set boundaries without the debilitating fear that people will withdraw their approval, because your value is no longer held in their hands. You can repent without drowning in shame because your standing with God rests on what Christ accomplished, not on how well you are managing your sanctification.
